Celebrities in eSports

Another weekly eSports themed installment from intern Daniel Crystal! Celebrity involvement in eSports is growing substantially. Famous Twitch streamers range from Chicago Bears defensive end, Kyle Long, to the DJ, Steve Aoki, to UFC's, Quentin Jackson, and many more. In their free time they stream, just like any other streamer on Twitch, and play a variety of popular games. Looking an another angle, several big-time celebrities are investing in ownership in professional eSports teams, such as Shaquille O'Neal, Rick Fox, and Ashton Kutcher. This investment is fueling the rapidly growing eSports industry. It will be interesting to see how it shapes up in the future and who else will get involved.
